Kota Yogyakarta bukanlah tujuan yang utama setelah saya menyelesaikan SMA, saya berasal dari Kota Banjar Patroman, Jawa Barat. Awalnya Bandung tetap menjadi pilihan saya, saya memilih universitas di Bandung, tepatnya di tempat yang berbeda dengan nasib saya sekarang. Saya mengambil jurusan Matematika yang sampai saat ini masih dijadikan Universitas favorit. Namun Allah memiliki rencana yang lain buat saya, yang justru memberikan kesempatan yang terbaik buat saya untuk memberikan yang terbaik untuk semua. Karena saya pernah mendengar kalimat, yang menurut saya maknanya sangat bagus secara substansial, kalimatnya seperti ini : "belum tentu yang terbaik buat kamu itu baik dimata Allah, karena bisa jadi yang buruk menurut kamu justru sebaliknya itulah yang terbaik " inilah yang saya jadikan motivasi buat saya, dan ternyata Pertanianlah yang dipandang sebelah mata oleh kebanyakan orang, kini telah menjadi pilihan hidup saya.

Yogyakarta kota Indah, sebelumnya saya belum pernah menginjakkan kaki di Yogyakarta, dan ini baru kali pertama saya adaptasi dengan Yogyakarta yang umumnya sangat jauh berbeda dengan kota Banjar, Yogyakarta yang ramai dengan Banjar yang hening. Dan saya juga belum banyak tahu tentang Universitas yang menjadi pilihan saya sekarang, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Saya hanya tahu sekilas dengan browsing di internet, namun saya yakin bahwa UMY akan menjadi pelabuhan terakhir bagi saya. Dan mengantar kan saya kepada ambisi untuk Going abroad. Saya sangat bersyukur, karena di Yogyakarta saya tidak sendirian. Saya memiliki saudara di kota Yogyakarta, namun saya harus hidup mandiri. Perjalanan ke Yogyakarta ditempuh selama kurang lebih enam jam, alhamdulillah saya dapat selamat sampai tujuan. Pada saat itu kereta menjadi pilihan transportasi saya, karena biaya yang tidak memungkinkan saya untuk naik bus. Saya bukan dari keluarga yang berlebihan, oleh karena itu saya harus ekonomis dalam hal apapun itu, termasuk dengan biaya perjalanan tadi.

Welcome to Yogyakarta, selamat datang di Kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Mau jadi apa saya setelah ini? apakah hanya menjadi mahasiswa KKR (Kuliah, Kampus, Rumah)? Saya sudah memantapkan niat saya di UMY, karena kepercayaan publik kepada UMY dengan image bahwa UMY adalah Universitas Terbaik di Kota Yogyakarta dan sudah mendapatkan penghargaan Universitas terbaik kedua seindonesia serta Peringkat 51 seasia tenggara. Sudah sepatutnya saya bersyukur dan bangga terhadap takdir saya. Namun, apa yang harus saya lakukan dengan semua nasib yang saya punya? Jawabannya ada pada diri sendiri, walaupun banyak orang yang memberikan paradigma dan asumsinya, namun jika diri belum realisasi akan gelar sandangnya sebagai Mahasiswa, semua akan sia-sia. Maka dari itu jadilah mahasiswa yang idealis dan bukan pragmatis, termasuk diri saya sendiri yang diterima sebagai mahasiswa Pertanian. Siapa lagi generasi bangsa yang akan memperbaiki alam ini yang sudah mulai rusak oleh tangan-tangan yang tidak bertanggung jawab seperti fenomena yang terjadi saat ini. Banyak opini yang berbeda dari masyarakat jika ditanya tentang pandangan mereka terhadap keadaan lingkungan sekarang, masing-masing punya asumsi sendiri yang tidak bisa dikatakan mutlak salah jika dilihat dengan fakta yang ada di alam saat ini, karena teori dan praktisnya yang tidak seimbang, ada yang berpendapat bahwa “alam ini akan baik-baik saja jika kita jaga dan pelihara dengan baik”. Tapi kata-kata tersebut hanya omong kosong jika tidak direalisasikan. Inilah tugas mahasiswa, sebagai generasi penerus bangsa yang harus memberikan penjelasan bahwa pentingnya menjaga dan memelihara lingkungan.

Let's be the best, inilah satu kalimat yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap mahasiswa, perlu kita ketahui, bahwa orang yang pintar akan dikalahkan oleh orang cerdas, namun orang cerdas akan dikalahkan oleh orang beruntung. Setiap orang bisa menjadi orang yang beruntung, bagaimana caranya? Pintar dan cerdas bisa dilakukan dengan belajar, maka dia akan menjadi orang yang pintar dan cerdas, namun apakah demikian dengan orang yang beruntung? Apa yang bisa dilakukan oleh orang yang beruntung? Hanya ada satu cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk menjadi orang yang beruntung yaitu, dengan mendekatkan diri pada Allah, karena rezeki hanya Allah yang tahu, keberuntungan datangnya hanya dari Allah, semakin dekat seorang hamba kepada Allah akan semakin cinta Allah padanya, dan pintu rezeki akan terbuka lebar buatnya, dan keberuntungan pun akan menghampirinya.
